You are a first-time student if you have never taken college courses at another
accredited university and you plan to seek a degree or certification at Miami
University. Miami University's regional campuses have an open admission policy
for first-time students.
To enroll as a first-time student, complete the following steps:
Submit your application fee, high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores (ACT
or SAT scores are required if you graduated from high school within the past
two years). You can register to take the ACT test at www.actstudent.org
If you earned a GED we will need a copy of your official GED scores. If you
have lost your official GED scores, and you took the test in the State of
Ohio, print and mail this GED Transcript
Request . Other states also have the scores on file - search the state
site for education or GED.

High school transcripts must be submitted directly to MUM or delivered
in a sealed envelope from the high school.
Priority deadline for filing the FAFSA: Feb. 15. The FAFSA can
be completed after Feb. 15 but should be completed at least 4 weeks
before the start of classes.
